Threaded steel mesh is a mesh structure product made of threaded steel (ribbed steel bars on the surface, also known as deformed steel bars) through welding or weaving processes. It is widely used in construction, infrastructure and other fields, mainly to enhance structural strength and distribute loads.

Material and Structure

The raw material is high-strength threaded steel. The transverse and longitudinal ribs on its surface can enhance the grip force with concrete, making the mesh and concrete bond more firmly and improving the load-bearing capacity of the overall structure.

The mesh is formed by welding the crisscrossing threaded steel through automated welding equipment. The weld points are firm and the mesh holes are uniform (common mesh sizes range from 50mm×50mm to 200mm×200mm). Customized specifications can also be made according to requirements.

High strength: The threaded steel itself has a relatively high tensile strength (usually ≥335MPa, and the high-strength grade can reach over 500MPa), and the overall structure of the mesh is stable, which can effectively resist external force impact and deformation.

High construction efficiency: Compared with the traditional manual binding of steel bars, the prefabricated mesh can be directly laid, reducing on-site processing steps, saving labor and time, and is especially suitable for large-scale construction (such as floor slabs, road base layers).

Uniform force distribution: The mesh structure enables more even load distribution, preventing cracks in concrete structures due to local stress concentration and enhancing the durability of the project.

Specification parameters

The diameter of the wire: The diameter of the threaded steel is usually 6mm-16mm, which is selected according to the strength requirements of the project. For example, 6mm-10mm is commonly used for floor slabs, and 12mm-16mm May be used for large-scale infrastructure.

Mesh size: Determined by structural design. Small mesh (such as 50mm×50mm) is suitable for thin concrete layers (such as ground bedding), while large mesh (such as 150mm×150mm) is suitable for thick plates or roadbeds.

Size: The common width is 1m-2m, and the length is 2m-6m. It can be custom-cut to adapt to different construction scenarios.

Application scenarios

Construction engineering: It is used for reinforcing reinforced concrete structures such as floor slabs, walls, beams and columns, such as residential floor slabs and basement floor slabs of shopping malls.

Municipal infrastructure: road base, bridge pavement layer, airport runway, etc., enhancing the crack resistance and load-bearing capacity of the road surface.

In water conservancy projects: During the concrete pouring of DAMS and channels, prevent the structure from cracking due to water flow impact or temperature changes.
